Mobi
The Mobi
Whether limited in mobility, in case of (initial) dementia or disorientation - the Mobi serves as a faithful companion in everyday life and as a lifeline in case of emergency.
In addition to the walking stick, the rollator is a particularly popular choice for continuing to walk well despite significant mobility impairments. It was therefore clear to us that, in addition to the Smartstick networked walking stick, a mobile solution with a universal holder was needed to ensure safe mobility in old age for users of mobile walking aids.
Visually, the mobile adapter solution impresses with its slim, handy housing. Functionally, it has an integrated locating and alarm module. Thanks to this module, Mobi can determine its position to within a few meters via GPS. On the other hand, the smart adapter solution acts as a lifeline in emergency situations and alerts the contacts stored in the portal.
The Mobi concept consists of three aspects:
The product
Alarm emergency call
Pressing the button for a longer time sends an alarm.

We have designed our Mobi with a user-friendly and appealing design in mind.

Functions
A primary advantage of our Mobi is the integrated GPS and the associated localization function. The device records its position with an accuracy of up to 10 meters and transmits it to the connected portal. A quick glance at the map is all it takes to see the current location of the walker. Let yourself be found for your own safety - Europe-wide without additional costs.
The Mobi is equipped with a button. This also serves as a call for help button. Press the button for at least 3 seconds. An alarm message is automatically transmitted to the portal and sent by push message to the app or by e-mail to the contact persons stored in the portal. This function is possible worldwide* and is supported by a red illuminated LED and a beeping sound.
*For use outside of Europe, additional fees may apply!
The use of Geofence increases safe mobility in old age immensely. This is because Geofence makes it possible to draw a virtual fence with a variable radius of 500 meters or more around the device. Especially for people with a tendency to run away, this function serves as additional safety, as an alarm is automatically triggered and sent to the portal if the area is exceeded. Registered contact persons are informed immediately and can take direct action.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions
How does the Mobi work?
The concept for the Mobi consists of two aspects. Firstly, we have the device itself and secondly, Portalwhere settings are made over the Internet. An Android app for managing the portal can be installed via the Google Play Store. The senior usually uses the device and his/her contacts (family or other contacts) use the portal or the smartphone. The senior does not need a smartphone/computer/fixed phone line to use the Mobi.
The device contains a chip that is connected to Portal via GPS.
You can charge the Mobi with the included charging cable, which you can connect to a PC or standard plug.
Is the Mobi waterproof?
Conditionally. The Mobi is splash-proof and can therefore be used in the rain without any problems.
Is the Mobi suitable for people with dementia?
Yes. On the one hand, the Mobi is equipped with an emergency call button that the person can press in an emergency to trigger an alarm that is sent to the contact persons stored in the portal. The emergency button on the Mobi is easy to feel and trigger. In addition, a geofence (virtual fence) can be set up in the portal. As soon as the device leaves this area, a message is sent to the people stored in the portal. The Mobi provides a position fix at regular intervals, so that the device can be precisely located outdoors.
Is the Mobi suitable for hearing impaired people?
The volume of the alarm signal is not adjustable but is supported by a flashing LED. It may be that the default volume may not be well audible to everyone. However, visual perception may be sufficient for this.
Does the Mobi have a function in case the wearer gets lost?
See the answer to the question "Is the Mobi suitable for people with dementia?"
Can I change the volume of the Mobi in case of an alarm?
At the moment the volume of the device is preset.
How much does the Mobi cost?
The Mobi is priced at 149,93 € incl. VAT. For more information about the purchase, please contact us directly and send an e-mail to info@cibx.de.
What services are included in the price?
- 1 Mobi incl. holder for rollators (becomes your property)
- 1 SIM card for using the Mobi throughout Europe and other European countries in country group 1.
(1 year included, after which the contract can be extended by you.) - Free hotline: +49 800 000 30 14
- Free online portal
- Free cibX Smartstick App (Android)
Are there any extra costs when I make an emergency call?
What are the requirements?
In order to be able to use all functions without restriction, you need sufficient cell phone reception. With the Deutsche Telekom AG network, you have the best coverage throughout Germany and Europe, as well as in other European countries in country group 1, at no extra cost.
How do I activate the Mobi?
Your Mobi has an IMEI number (see also on the back of the instructions for use). To activate the integrated SIM card, please call our hotline: +49 800 000 30 14 or write an e-mail to support@cibx.de. When you activate your account you will receive your username and password. Activation of the SIM card can take up to 24 hours. You will receive an e-mail from us as soon as your SIM card is activated and you can use the location function.
How do I switch the Mobi on and off?
To turn it on, press and hold the button for one second. The button on the Mobi lights up blue and automatically connects to the portal. To switch the device off, press the button twice briefly. The red LED lights up twice and the blue light goes out as soon as the software has shut down (approx. 1-5 seconds).
How do I trigger the alarm?
Press the button on the Mobi that leads to a call for help for at least 5 seconds. The LED will then flash red quickly for 10 seconds (interval 100 ms), a beep will sound and at the same time the call for help will be transmitted to the portal.
The contact person stored in the portal receives a message on their smartphone (Android) via push message or an e-mail informing them that an alarm has been triggered.
What happens when I trigger the emergency call?
The device transmits the call for help with the current position information to the portal. All contacts who have logged into the portal will receive a message with the exact location of the device and notification that the emergency button has been pressed.
Is there a way to "cancel" an emergency call that was triggered by mistake?
No, not at this time. If possible, the person who triggered the emergency call can inform the contact person, e.g. by phone, that it is an accidentally triggered emergency call.
Can I trigger the emergency call anywhere?
As a rule, yes. Sufficient mobile phone reception is required for the Mobi to function properly. With the Deutsche Telekom AG network, you have the best coverage in Germany and throughout Europe (country group 1) at no extra cost. So it works everywhere where there is a mobile network.
Can I also receive the emergency notification by SMS?
The notification is sent by e-mail. In the e-mail there is a direct link to the portal.
There is also an app in the Google Play Store - cibX Smartstick. If you use the app, you will get a push message sent directly to your smartphone. By clicking on it, you will then get a map with the current location of the device.
How do I see that the battery is empty?
When the battery level drops to about 20%, a low battery warning message is transmitted Portal At the same time, the red LED of the device starts to light up permanently. If the battery level continues to drop until the battery is empty, a warning message is transmitted to the portal, after which the device switches off automatically.
How long does the battery last?
In normal use, the battery lasts about one week. With intensive use (for example, frequent location polling), it may be less.
